Youth Ministry & Leadership Training
“The youth of Nicaragua are the future of Nicaragua”
Currently in Nicaragua, 65 percent of the population is younger than 25 years old. High unemployment and poor education leave the youth of Nicaragua with little hope or purpose for their lives. Therefore, many get caught up in drugs, gangs, and sexual relationships at young ages. Many Nicaraguan churches are not equipped to minister to the youth in their church — much less young people in the community. There is a real need to train youth leaders.
We are currently linking youth leader training teams from churches in the United States with youth leaders and potential leaders in Nicaragua. In weekend camps local youth leaders from various churches are presented with a vision for their youth groups, Bible-based ministry principles, fun games and purposeful activities.
Does this sound like something you and your church would like to take part in? If so, please contact Carey Franklin at carey@dlzip.com.
