The nationwide mayoral elections were held on Sunday. The end result was on late Sunday night was that the Sandanista candidate Alexis Arguello had won. Many inconsistincies have been reported by the Supreme Electoral Council. Election material was found in a city garbage can and many polling places closed early. [...]
